After the pandemic, in-person events came back and people got back to their regular activities, though a lot of things changed: more people working remotely, education with online options, and overall society was left with a certain caution about health that it didn't have before.

Normalize? Yeah, though I've seen remote work really stick around. At the veterinary clinic we still have more protocols than before, nothing unusual about that.
