I'm thinking about getting into this flight simulator hobby, but I have no idea where to start. I thought Microsoft Flight Simulator was good, but I saw there are other options like X-Plane and DCS. Anyone here into it? Which one do you think is worth it more for someone just getting started?
Microsoft Flight Simulator really is the best entry point because it has beautiful graphics, it's intuitive, and it doesn't force you to learn a ton of complicated procedures right off the bat. X-Plane is more technical and realistic, but it demands more dedication to understand the aircraft systems. DCS is basically a military simulator focused on combat, so it's a completely different beast if your goal is just to fly around and explore the world. My advice: start with Flight Simulator, take advantage of the fact that you already have a gaming PC, and then if you want to dig deeper later you'll know better which direction to go.
