Don't go straight for a big high chair with its own frame if your kitchen is small, because it'll just be in the way all the time. I bought a folding Chicco a while back and honestly the best part was finding out that the tray comes off completely, which makes cleaning up food residue so much easier - just wipe it with a damp cloth and it's ready to go.
At six months the kid is still eating very little solid food, so sometimes a more compact chair that clips onto the table (like those that just have the detachable tray) can work way better than having a whole piece of furniture taking up space. Chicco and Polly have good options in both categories, but definitely take your time reading reviews about weight and stability before you decide, because some of the smaller ones can tip over if the child moves around a lot.
