I have some Rossignol skis that I stored in the garage a few months ago and I'm not sure if I'm maintaining them properly. I notice the base looks a bit dull and I'm worried they might get damaged from the humidity and heat. Is there anything specific I should do before next season?
Take the skis out of the garage and store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, because heat and humidity are the worst enemies. That cloudiness you're seeing is probably oxidation or lack of protective wax, so before storing them again apply a good coat of summer wax to seal the base and protect it until October.
