It really depends on what you're studying and how well you can concentrate, you know? But most people can keep intense focus for about 2-3 hours straight without starting to get kind of unmotivated. After that it's better to take a break, get away for a bit, move your body around - then you come back fresher for another session. The trick is not to push too hard all the time; it's more effective to study less with quality than to spend the whole night reading the same paragraph three times over.
The ideal is really to study in short, intense blocks - like 45 minutes to an hour max - because after that your brain starts getting tired and you lose more concentration than you gain in content. After each block, take like 10-15 minutes to actually rest - get away from the computer, drink some water, move around a bit - and then you can do 2 or 3 more blocks like that without burning yourself out completely. The total time depends on your routine, but if you can manage 3 blocks like that in a day, that's already pretty good and way more productive than staring at the page for 4 or 5 hours straight.
