Actually, passwords usually don't just disappear - most likely your account got out of sync or there was a glitch in cloud storage. Try signing out of your Chrome account first (menu → Settings → Account) and signing back in - that often fixes sync issues. If that doesn't help, check whether password sync is enabled in settings (Settings → Sync → Manage sync) and whether there's been any suspicious activity on your account. Unfortunately, if the passwords are already deleted from the cloud, recovery is unlikely, but if they're still cached locally somewhere, data recovery tools like Recuva might help.

The main thing is don't reinstall the browser hoping that'll fix it. It'll only make things worse, and the passwords won't come back anyway if they've already synced to the cloud in a "deleted" state.

First, check the basics: go to Chrome settings, find the sync section, and make sure you're actually logged into your Google account and sync is enabled. Sometimes after a browser or system update, you get automatically logged out, and passwords just don't load from the servers. Try completely signing out of your account (don't just disable sync, actually sign out), then sign back in - sometimes that refreshes the data.

If that didn't work, then the passwords either got deleted from cloud storage or something went wrong with the sync. You can try to recover them through Google Account recovery on accounts.google.com - there are tools there to check your activity and restore data. You could also check if you have a local backup of the browser (in case you exported passwords manually at some point). As a last resort, see if there's any login history left on the websites where you saved passwords - sometimes the browser suggests usernames even if the actual passwords are gone.
