What specific product did you get? Usually the concerns are with mascaras that have aggressive preservatives (especially old ones), eyeshadows with heavy metals in them, and cheap eyeliners that flake and get in your eyes. If you're using well-known brands and don't notice any irritation, tearing, or redness - you don't need to switch. The danger mostly comes from expired cosmetics, homemade products without certifications, or products that have been lying around open for years. The main thing is don't apply cosmetics right up to your eyelids, don't share mascara and eyeliner with others, and if your eyes start to burn - rinse it off and give them a rest.
