I wouldn't just go by the name, but look at what you actually need - that's what matters.

The Ankarsrum is seriously underrated if you work a lot with pasta, cookies, or sauces, because the attachments are just more versatile than the KitchenAid.

But heads up: the Ankarsrum has less power when kneading heavy bread dough, that's a real problem if you want to bake a lot. KitchenAid wins there hands down, but it's also pricier and you need a lot of counter space in your kitchen.

Like I said, it really depends on what you want to do with it, yeah? The KitchenAid is more like the standard thing if you want to knead a lot of dough or process larger quantities - it's robust and lasts forever. The Ankarsrum is more compact and versatile if you like using different attachments and also want to do finer stuff like rolling dough or making pasta.

Honestly, the decision really comes down to your budget and space in the kitchen. If you've got a packed kitchen like me - for me it's basically from work straight to the football pitch - I'd go for the Ankarsrum because it takes up less space. But the KitchenAid is more durable and if you really work a lot with yeast dough or like to bake, it's probably the better choice. How much money do you want to spend roughly, and what do you mainly want to make with it?

wind_jurgen asker Between 300 and 500 euros, mainly bread dough and pasta now and then.
