What the others say is right - the wrist rest is only part of the solution. But even more important than both of those things: make sure your forearms are parallel to the ground when you're typing and your monitor is at eye level. A lot of people have pain because they're looking down and their wrists are bent, not because they're missing a wrist rest. If you adjust that and then get a wrist rest too, it should get better - but without fixing your setup, even the best brand won't help much.

I got myself one of those supports about a year ago because my wrists started acting up too, and honestly it helped - but only when combined with other stuff. The support alone won't do anything if you're sitting in a crappy position the whole time. What's more important is positioning your keyboard and mouse properly (your forearm should be roughly horizontal) and taking regular breaks. As for brands, I wouldn't spend too much money on it - just grab something with solid neoprene that you can find anywhere. But if the pain keeps getting worse, you should probably have a doctor check it out - could be something else.

The brace actually does help, but only if you're also improving your posture and desk setup at the same time - that's the more important part 🖥️ A lot of people think they just strap on one of these things and boom, problem solved, but it doesn't work like that. When you're buying one, I'd look for something with good padding so it doesn't get uncomfortable when you're wearing it all day, and make sure it keeps your hand in a neutral position - not too tight, not too loose. What also helps: take regular breaks and do some stretching, otherwise even the best brace won't do anything for you.
