Did you notice if the movie disappeared all of a sudden or if Netflix had a warning that it was coming soon? Usually they remove content because licensing contracts with studios expire - like, Netflix pays to have that movie for a certain period and then needs to renew or give back the rights. Sometimes the studio prefers to put the movie on another streaming service or sell it somewhere else, so Netflix can't renew. It's super frustrating, but it's basically a negotiation game behind the scenes! Now whenever I see a movie I want to watch, I add it to my list and watch it the same week so I don't run that risk.

gustavo_souza asker Nope, it just disappeared all of a sudden. There wasn't even a warning on the platform beforehand.

Basically it's a money thing - Netflix pays to have certain movies for a limited period, and when that contract expires, they have to give the rights back to the studio. Depending on the movie, sometimes there's no warning beforehand, especially if it was a recent addition to the catalog. What happened to you is pretty common actually, it's frustrating but that's just how content licensing works.
