Okay, AirPrint issues are annoying, I get it. First thing: restart your printer and your iPhone/iPad. Sounds simple, but honestly it's helped me way more times than you'd think. Unplug the printer for a bit, wait 30 seconds and turn it back on. At the same time restart your Apple device. Then check if your printer and your phone are on the same WiFi network - that's the most common cause. A lot of people make the mistake of being on a 5GHz network while their printer only works on 2.4GHz or vice versa.

If that doesn't help, go into your printer's settings (usually through the display function on the device itself or through the manufacturer's app) and check the WiFi status. Sometimes the connection just drops. And don't forget to restart your router - for me at home that helps more often than you'd think. If your printer offers a firmware update, do that too, it can fix AirPrint bugs.

If still nothing works, try deleting the printer from your list of trusted printers and then adding it again. On iOS/iPadOS you'll find that under Settings > AirPrint. And really important: check if your printer even supports AirPrint - some of the older models just can't do anything with it. After 19 years in plumbing I'm telling you from experience: 80% of the problems are network-related.

Have you tried restarting the printer and your device yet? That almost always solves these kinds of problems for me, sounds silly but it works. Otherwise I'd check if both are on the same WiFi network and if the AirPrint function is enabled in the printer settings - I had to manually turn that on with my printer at home too.

Ugh, annoying when that doesn't work. Are both your printer and your device on the same WiFi network? For me it often helped to just turn the printer off and back on again or re-add it in the printer settings. What device are you using anyway - iPhone, iPad, or Mac - and is the printer even AirPrint-compatible?

Stefanie94 asker iPhone and yeah, the printer is AirPrint-compatible. Both are on the same WiFi. Restart didn't help.
