Anyone else collecting Stanley thermoses? Getting ridiculous prices

I started buying Stanley cups last year just for actual use, but now I've got like 15 different colors and limited editions. The resale market is completely wild - people are asking $200+ for discontinued colorways on Facebook Marketplace. Is this actually worth doing or am I just feeding into a trend that'll crash?

The resale market on these things is definitely inflated right now, so if you're banking on flipping them for profit, that's risky. The thing is, Stanley actually makes a solid product that people genuinely use, which gives it more staying power than a lot of trends, but the crazy secondary market prices are driven by hype and scarcity that probably won't last forever. If you're genuinely enjoying collecting them and actually using them, that's one thing - but if you're mostly buying with resale in mind, you're betting on the hype staying hot, and that's usually when these things cool off pretty fast. What's your actual end goal with them?

Lisa1960 asker Yeah, honestly just using them. I've got my favorites I take skiing and to the hives, the rest are just kinda sitting there. Not trying to flip them.
