Is it worth starting to collect Funko Pop figures in 2026?

They used to be relatively affordable, but now the prices have skyrocketed. I'm wondering if it makes sense for a newcomer to get into collecting them or if I should look for something more promising instead? Or maybe the peak has already passed and the collection will lose value?

If you're collecting for yourself rather than for profit, then prices aren't really the main thing - what matters is that you like the figures and they bring you joy. But if you're counting on reselling them, yeah, the hype seems to have peaked, and starting from scratch in that business is risky now - it's easier to find a collection that doesn't depend on speculation trends.
