Anyone else still use forums instead of Discord?

I've been part of the same gaming forum since like 2009 and honestly I prefer it to jumping between Discord servers. The threads are easier to search through later, conversations actually stay organized, and there's less drama than Discord. Am I just being nostalgic or do other people still find forums better for certain communities?

What's your forum's activity level like these days - still got decent traffic? You're not being nostalgic at all; forums genuinely have advantages Discord doesn't, and plenty of communities stick with them for exactly those reasons. The searchability and permanent organization you mentioned are huge, especially for niche gaming communities where you want to dig up old build guides or lore discussions. Discord's great for real-time chat but it's basically a conversation graveyard after a few days. Some gaming forums from the 2000s-2010s are still thriving because their core users prefer that slower, threaded format over server hopping.

james79 asker Still pretty active, maybe 200-300 daily users. Core group's been there since the beginning like me, so we just stick with what works.
