I've been going to Reddit for years whenever I have doubts about setting things up on my computer or problems with my phone. It's weird but it happens that I find more useful solutions there than on Google. Do you guys still use Reddit or have you moved on to something else?
Totally, Reddit is still a lifesaver when I have technical issues that Google doesn't solve. The thing is, on Reddit you find people who are actually into the subject and give real solutions, not just links to generic blogs. I still use Reddit quite a bit, especially for complicated setup issues or when my phone does something weird, and most of my friends do too, though some have switched to Discord for certain specific topics.
Don't just stick with the answers from Google's first page, because a lot of the time they're outdated or from sites that just copy content. I constantly turn to Reddit when I'm having weird computer problems or when I need to configure something specific, and that's where I actually find people who went through the exact same thing weeks ago. I recently had an issue with my SSD that even the official forums couldn't solve, but on a hardware subreddit someone described the same symptom and the solution worked right away. The difference is that on Reddit people respond in real time and if something doesn't work, they'll correct you in the comments.

Google has improved quite a bit over the last few years, but you're right that Reddit is still better for really specific things, though I'd say people exaggerate a bit when they say Google's answers are always outdated - a lot of the time the problem is that people don't know how to filter results well. What works best is combining both, because on Reddit you find real people's experiences but there's also a lot of noise and wrong answers that people upvote without thinking.
