Are bucket hats still in style in summer 2026?

Well, "in" might be a bit of an overstatement - but bucket hats are definitely not out, I'd say. I still see them everywhere, especially with younger people. The thing is, they're not really a trend anymore and have just become normal. In 2026 they're just there and nobody makes a big deal out of it. Sure there are phases where they're everywhere and then less so, but completely gone? Nah.

What I personally think is cool: they're practical and take good pictures when you're out for a bit before editing videos for work. My black bucket hat from some vintage store also looks good with the cats when I photograph them on walks, haha. In summer they keep the sun off, are light and go with pretty much any vibe. That's why I think they'll stick around because they're functional.
