Don't fall for the trap of thinking an electric reel is gonna solve everything. Lots of people buy one thinking it's the magic solution and then end up regretting it. The truth is that for casual fishing on a normal river on the weekend, a traditional rod and reel do the job just fine. You've got everything you need without blowing half your paycheck.
An electric reel really makes a difference in specific situations: fishing at depth (deep pools or really deep water), when you need to cast really far without getting tired from repetition, or when you've got physical limitations. If your river is peaceful and fishable, you're casting half a dozen times an hour and catching something here and there, a normal rod is more than enough. The mental exhaustion from an afternoon of fishing is the least of your worries.
Plus, an electric reel needs maintenance, charged batteries, and the battery degrades over time (it's expensive to fix). In a few years you're gonna have to spend money again on replacements. For casual fishing, honestly it's not worth the investment. Spend that money on a good traditional rod with a quality reel, and then if you find that you really want more you'll have a clear idea of what you're looking for.
