Are liquid blushes better than powder blushes for mature skin?

It depends on your skin texture - are you looking for something that won't settle into fine lines, or do you have drier skin that needs hydration? Liquid blushes can look more natural and dewy on mature skin, but powder formulas work great too if you use a light hand and prep your skin well.

I've found liquid blushes work great for me and my mom, who's in her fifties, because they blend way easier and don't sit on top of your skin like a layer of powder sometimes does. The dewy finish also helps hide some of the texture stuff that comes with age - my mom was always paranoid about her blush looking chalky, and switching to liquid basically solved that problem. That said, if your skin runs on the dry side, you gotta make sure you're moisturizing underneath or the liquid can look patchy. I think the real advantage is just that they're more forgiving than powder if you're not great at blending yet, which honestly applies to everyone learning makeup, not just older folks.
