Sporcle's still solid if you want variety and custom quizzes that you can compete on with friends, plus the leaderboards keep things interesting. Trivia Crack has been around forever and works great for quick head-to-head matches if that's more your speed. HQ Trivia made a comeback recently so that's worth checking out if you like the live show vibe. Honestly depends whether you want async matches you can do whenever or real-time competition, but any of those three will scratch the itch.
I've messed around with a bunch of these while knitting (yeah, I multitask), and what I've noticed is that most people overlook the ones with live multiplayer modes - they're way more fun than asynchronous leaderboards because you actually feel the competition happening in real time. QuizUp had that vibe back in the day, and there are a few newer apps trying to nail that instant-feedback thing where you're both answering the same question simultaneously. The catch is making sure the app you pick actually has an active player base in 2026, since some of these things ghost pretty quick.
