It's not quite that straightforward. In France, you have protection while you're on sick leave - normally your employer can't fire you just because you're sick. That said, they can still let you go for other reasons (serious misconduct, restructuring, etc.), but they have to follow proper procedure and it needs to be genuinely justified, unrelated to your illness. If something feels off about it, the employment tribunal can tell you exactly where you stand.

In France you're protected - you can't be fired for personal reasons while on sick leave, except for gross misconduct or economic reasons unrelated to your illness. If something seems off about your situation, reach out to a union or employment lawyer to check it out 👍
