I posted some photos of myself at a party over the weekend and my boss saw them on Instagram. He said it damages the company's image and now I'm scared of losing my job. Is that a valid reason to fire me?
Don't accept verbal or text dismissal without written documentation - demand everything in writing via email. Legally, unless you have a contract with specific clauses about social media or representing the company, personal photos of yours outside work hours are protected; your boss can complain but firing you solely for that is quite difficult legally, especially in Portugal where the law is strict about dismissals.
