Can I claim working from home allowance for my spare room?
Started working from home full-time in 2024 and use one room as an office. My accountant mentioned something about a £26 a week allowance but I'm not sure if I qualify or how to claim it.

You can claim the simplified expenses allowance if you're working from home regularly - it's £26 per week (or thereabouts) and you just need to keep a record of the weeks you actually worked from home to claim it on your self-assessment tax return. Your accountant should be able to walk you through filing it, or you can claim it directly when you do your tax return through HMRC's online portal.
