Can I see the lunar eclipse with the naked eye or do I need a telescope?
There's supposed to be a lunar eclipse coming up and I'm not sure if I need binoculars or a telescope to see it properly. Don't want to miss it if it's visible from the UK.

You can definitely see a lunar eclipse with the naked eye - no telescope or binoculars needed at all. I've watched plenty of them while fishing at night and they're actually better without optical gear since you get the full view of the Moon. Just find a spot away from light pollution if you can, let your eyes adjust for a few minutes, and you're golden. Binoculars or a telescope can be nice for getting extra detail, but they'll actually limit what you see since the Moon will be too big to fit in the field of view.
