Can you leave a refrigerator at a dacha over winter without electricity?

A guy from Tula here. The dacha isn't heated. Got an Atlant fridge in 2024. It's below freezing in winter, we barely use it in summer. What happens to the compressor and freon if I just leave it on and then don't touch it for half a year in the frost? Do I need to do anything before the season?

Just disconnect the fridge and leave the door open - otherwise mold and odors will develop inside. The compressor and refrigerant won't suffer from the frost; they'll be fine just sitting there. The main thing is to make sure everything inside is dry before you turn it back on in the spring. If the door is closed, definitely air out the room for a couple of days after you first turn it on, so the moisture evaporates. You don't need any special servicing or winterization procedures. A regular Atlant fridge handles these shutdowns just fine.
