RSS is definitely not outdated - plenty of tech people and content creators still use it daily! The big advantage over Instagram and the like: you see exactly what you've subscribed to, without some algorithm shoving stuff into your feed that you don't even want. Apps like Feedly or NetNewsWire work super smoothly and straightforwardly these days, especially if you just want to keep tabs on your favorite blogs and news sites. I'd definitely recommend giving it another shot - better than letting social media mess with your head!

I use it myself for my gardening sites - works great because I see exactly what's new without some algorithm shoving other content in my face. Instagram and the newsletter push are just exhausting by comparison. For readers, I'd recommend Feedly or NetNewsWire, both are pretty straightforward and not cluttered. Totally worth it, especially if you follow specific blogs or news sources.

I got back into it after years of just scrolling through Twitter and Reddit - and it was the best decision. With a reader like Feedly or Inoreader you get your favorite blogs and news sites filtered by topic, without the algorithm constantly shoving ads or trending garbage into your feed. For me it's set up so I scroll through in 10 minutes in the morning and know exactly what's new - way more efficient than hanging around on Instagram and ending up wasting 30 minutes anyway.
