It really depends on the type of work you do. I agree that most companies these days operate with a mobile and good internet, but there are situations where a landline still makes a difference - especially if you work with clients or need more formal meetings, because call quality on a landline is completely different from a mobile, and some companies still require it for professionalism reasons. That said, if your company only uses Teams, Zoom and that sort of thing, honestly you don't really need one, a decent computer with a webcam sorts it for most people.
No, with a cell phone and good internet you can do everything you need. Most companies use WhatsApp, Teams, or Zoom for communication, so a computer with a microphone and webcam is enough. A landline is pretty much a thing of the past, unless you work in customer service and need a specific extension, then it could make a difference.
