Is it okay to correct someone's grammar during a conversation?

Most people find unsolicited grammar corrections annoying and it can actually make conversations awkward instead of better. If someone's struggling with language or it's genuinely affecting understanding, a gentle private comment later might work, but interrupting mid-conversation to correct minor mistakes comes across as pedantic. The best approach is usually to just let it go unless you're in a teaching situation where feedback is actually expected, because the relationship and flow of the conversation matter way more than perfect grammar.
