I used to be really into StarCraft back in the day and I'm thinking about getting back into it. Is there still an active competitive scene, or did everyone move on to other RTS games by now? I'm mostly curious about the online ladder and whether matchmaking is still quick.
StarCraft II still has an active ladder and competitive scene, though it's smaller than it was at its peak. You should be able to find matches pretty quickly depending on your rank, and there are still tournaments happening regularly. The game's kept getting balance patches and content updates, so it's definitely still alive if you want to jump back in. Fair warning though - the skill ceiling has only gotten higher over the years, so expect some serious competition if you're climbing the ladder.
