Onion skin contains quercetin and other compounds that some studies suggest could have anti-inflammatory properties, but there's no solid evidence that a tea will work miracles for your bones. It's more of a folk remedy than something proven, so don't get your hopes up.

I tried the onion peel tea for a while because my old man wouldn't stop insisting, and honestly I didn't notice anything special in my bones or energy. Maybe it has some antioxidants, but if you really need to strengthen your bones, you're better off investing in actual calcium, vitamin D, and exercise - that actually works, not grandma's remedy.
