Stabilized vitamin C really does work better than the pure form because it resists oxidation and maintains its effectiveness longer! The classic version breaks down like after two weeks from the moment you open the jar, especially if you keep it in the bathroom where there's humidity, whereas stabilized versions (ascorbyl palmitate, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate and stuff like that) hold up way better over time. If you use a serum with pure vitamin C and don't finish it quickly, you're literally slathering something ineffective on your skin, so that's why stabilized makes all the difference!
