I think it's more psychology than physics here - when you're expecting the moon to affect you, you unconsciously notice signs specifically during a full moon and ignore them on other days, creating an illusion of a connection. Irritability and insomnia do happen, but their causes are usually more mundane: stress, diet, screen time before bed, seasonal mood swings. Try keeping a simple sleep and mood diary for a week or two without looking at a lunar calendar - it's quite possible that restless nights are actually spread evenly across the days.

Don't chalk it all up to psychology - there are actually real physical factors that have nothing to do with our expectations 😊 The moon really does affect tides, and our bodies have a lot of water too, so there might be some effect. Plus during a full moon it's lighter at night, and that can mess with your circadian rhythms and interfere with sleep - that's where the irritability comes from.

But proving a direct link between moon phases and personality is pretty tough, because there are too many other variables (stress, weather, hormones). The moon is probably just one factor among many, not the main culprit 🌙
