I've read quite a few dystopian novels during long breaks, and the ones that grabbed me the most were the most straightforward ones, without too many philosophical tangents. "The Hunger Games" is the classic that just flows on its own - pages fly by without you realizing it. If you're looking for something Italian, "La provincia del disagio" by Sandro Veronesi is short and aggressive, perfect if you want to finish fast without getting bored.
Don't go for something too cerebral like "1984" if you want something that flows: try "The Hunger Games" or "Divergent" - they're dystopian but you won't put the book down, page after page.
