I changed the oil in my Peugeot 3008 last Saturday at Norauto, and since then the check engine light keeps coming on and off. The mechanic told me it might be a sensor acting up. Do I really have to go back for a diagnostic?
It's not normal for the warning light to come on right after an oil change 😅 the guy at norauto probably has a point about the sensor, but it's still fishy that it happens right after his work. i'd really suggest going back for a free diagnostic with them (or somewhere else) because it might just be loose or something didn't get put back properly. better to check now than have problems later!

That guy at Norauto told you complete nonsense with his story about a sensor that was "acting up" - generally the check engine light doesn't come on for no reason just after an oil change. I'd suggest you go back to them to check that they properly reinstalled the oil filter or didn't forget to fill the tank to the right level, that's often the problem after a badly done oil change. A diagnostic won't cost you much and at least you'll know for sure, especially since if it's their fault they should do it for free.
