I have a 2019 Chevrolet Aveo and for about a month now, when I start it in the morning, bluish smoke comes out of the exhaust for the first few minutes. It goes away after that, but I'm worried it might be something serious. What could be happening?
Most likely you're burning oil in the cylinders, which happens when the piston rings are worn down or the valve guides wear out. Blue smoke is almost always oil, not gasoline, and it disappearing after the engine warms up is typical because when it's cold there's more condensation and the oil burns more easily.
