How do I tell someone their baby name choice isn't my taste?

You don't really need to tell them that - it's their kid, not yours. If they ask what you think, you could say something like "it's not what I'd pick, but it's a cool name" and move on, or just ask them what drew them to it instead of volunteering criticism.
