I have an interview at the embassy next month and I was wondering how many days after that my passport arrives with the visa. I've heard that it's faster now than it used to be, but I'm not sure if that's true. Does anyone know how long to expect?
A buddy of mine got his visa recently and got his passport back like two or three weeks after the interview, but it really depends a lot on where you are and how swamped the embassy is at that moment.
What I've seen is that some people take less time, others more - I've heard of people who waited a full month and others who got theirs in ten days.
The best thing is to ask directly at the embassy when you go for your appointment, because they'll give you the most realistic timeline based on their current situation; what you see on the internet sometimes is outdated or applies more to other countries.
