I'm pregnant for the first time and my doctor scheduled the morphological ultrasound for next week. I wanted to know if I'm at the right time already or if it's better to wait a bit longer. I'm afraid of doing it too early and not being able to see the baby's details properly.
The ideal morphological scan is between 18 and 24 weeks, that's when you can see all the baby's details and organs really clearly. If your doctor scheduled it for next week, he probably checked your due date and saw that you're at the right time - they know when it's best to do it. If you're unsure, just confirm with him how many weeks you are to be sure, but in most cases when it's scheduled like that everything's already good to go.
Don't be afraid to do it too early! Actually, some doctors prefer to do it between 20 and 22 weeks exactly because at that point the image resolution is at its peak - after 24 weeks it starts getting harder to see certain details because of the baby's position and the amount of amniotic fluid, so your doctor probably scheduled it at the best time anyway!
