How much does it cost to replace a PS4 fan?

I have a PS4 I bought like 5 years ago and lately it's been making a horrible noise, sounds like the fan is about to blow. I'm in Mexico and I'm not sure if it's better to take it to an official service center or to someone I trust. Does anyone know roughly how much a repair like that costs?

Sony's official service centers are going to charge you way more than a trustworthy independent technician - we're talking a significant difference. What you really need to avoid is taking it to just anywhere without references, because opening up a PS4 requires care and you don't want to end up with more problems. If you've already cleaned the console thoroughly and the noise keeps going, then yeah, you need a fan replacement; a reputable technician in Mexico will fix it for a fraction of what the official service charges, but make sure they use quality parts and give you a warranty on the work.

Don't go straight to a technician without thoroughly cleaning the console first, because sometimes that noise comes from dust buildup on the heatsinks and doesn't actually need a fan replacement. If you've already cleaned it and it's still the same, an official service center can charge you a lot more, so a trusted local technician will probably cost you less than half the price, though it really depends on where you are in Mexico and how good the guy is. Have you already tried taking apart the PS4 to clean it, or would you rather have someone do it for you?

Changing the fan on a PS4 runs somewhere between $800 and $1500 in Mexico depending on where you go, but before you pay anything try taking it apart yourself (there are really clear tutorials on YouTube) and clean it with compressed air, because that noise is almost always dust that got into the heatsinks and it fixes itself without touching anything. If it still sounds the same after cleaning, then look for an independent technician with good reviews in your area - way cheaper than Sony without sacrificing quality.
