How much sugar can you actually eat per day?
A doctor discussed the recommended daily sugar intake. Many people wonder whether their habits fit within that norm and what happens if you exceed it.

The World Health Organization recommends no more than 50 grams of added sugar per day for adults, and ideally around 25 grams, though many people consume two to three times that amount without even thinking about it. Regularly exceeding this limit leads to weight gain, dental problems, blood sugar spikes, and increases the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
