The most important thing: Check whether you actually use the features. Lots of people buy a watch with AI features and end up only using the basic stuff like step counting and heart rate monitoring, because they don't really need all that smart stuff or find it annoying after a while.

AI fitness watches promise a lot - automatic workout detection, personalized coaching tips, sleep analysis and all that. Some of these features work pretty decently, others are more of a gimmick. The problem is: the quality of AI features varies massively between manufacturers. A regular fitness watch measures your movement and heart rate and that's it - reliable and without all the bells and whistles. One with AI wants to keep telling you stuff and sometimes that's just not accurate. Plus, AI watches are usually pricier, need charging more often because more processes are running, and all those "smart" features are often tied to apps that constantly want to sync data.

If you just want to know how many steps you've taken and what your heart rate looks like, then you're wasting money on an AI watch and annoying yourself unnecessarily. But if you're someone who likes getting AI suggestions for your training or wants to constantly track and analyze yourself, it could be something for you - just remember though that the AI is only as good as the sensors and algorithms behind it. My tip: don't blindly buy an expensive one with AI, instead look carefully at what YOU actually need.
