Did the firmware definitely install completely, or could there have been some kind of glitch? Sometimes an update installs but doesn't fully apply to the system. Try restarting your phone by powering it all the way off (not just turning the screen off, actually shut it down for about 30 seconds), then turn it back on. After that, check how the magnets are catching.

If the restart didn't help, you should check the magnetic module on the iPhone itself. Sometimes dust or debris builds up between the magnets, which prevents proper contact. Wipe it gently, without anything abrasive - that might help. Also make sure the accessories are either original or at least certified - cheap knockoffs often don't work right.

If none of that works, then yeah, repair might be needed. But first try the restart and cleaning - those are the basic steps. If the phone is less than a month old, the warranty should cover it without any questions.

kirill2001 asker Thanks, I'll try rebooting and wiping them down. The accessories are genuine, so that's not it.

When you say "recognizes it incorrectly" - do you mean the phone doesn't see the accessories in settings at all, or they just don't work on the first try? Those are different issues. If the system doesn't detect them at all, it's more likely a hardware problem than a firmware one.

But first try this: power off your phone completely (not just sleep mode), wait a couple of minutes, and turn it back on. Sometimes the magnetic module just loses sync with the system. While you're at it, check if there's any dirt or micro-cracks on the iPhone contacts and the accessories themselves - oxidation can really mess with recognition.

If nothing changes after the restart, try this: take off your case and hold the charger with the magnet directly against the back of the phone for five to ten minutes. Sometimes magnets need direct contact with the module to "reinitialize" themselves. After that, put your case back on. If that doesn't help either - yeah, it's probably a faulty module, looks like a warranty job.

kirill2001 asker Thanks for the tip. I mean they don't work on the first try - they show up in settings, but charging doesn't start right away. I have to move it around a few times, then it works.
