I have a 45 square meter apartment in Raval and the kitchen is tiny. I'm thinking about getting one of those compact dishwashers like a Bosch or Bauknecht, but I'm not sure if it actually saves water and electricity compared to washing by hand. Does anyone have experience with these machines?
It really depends on how you wash dishes by hand, because if you're one of those people who leaves the water running the whole time, yeah it does save water, but if you turn off the tap while you're soaping up, there's not that much difference. What I do notice is that you save a ton of time and effort, which in such a small apartment is worth its weight in gold, and these compact ones take up very little space (do you have room under the counter or on top of it?). The electricity use is minimal compared to other appliances, so don't worry about that. If it fits without any hassle, I'd say it's worth it more for the convenience than for saving money on your bill.
