If you don't want to deal with a headache, get a Galaxy Watch instead of some random brand on Amazon. Yeah, it costs more, but you won't end up with something that freezes after three months.
That said, to ease your mind a bit: I've got a buddy who bought a no-name watch for 60 bucks just to try it out, and honestly it works okay for basic notifications and fitness tracking. But it's really basic, the pairing is glitchy sometimes, and eventually it starts acting up. With a Galaxy Watch or a decent Fossil Wear OS, you've got support behind it, updates actually come through, and most importantly it communicates really well with your A54. Notifications reach you without lag, you can reply to messages (if you want to), and activity tracking is reliable. It's not a con.
A lot of Chinese brands are just rebranded versions of the same crappy software with a nice case. You won't die if you grab a used Galaxy Watch 5 or even a 4, and it'll be way more stable than some new-brand thing. Otherwise check out Fossil Wear OS, there are solid models that aren't too pricey and work really well with Android.
