The difference is in the concentration of fragrance compounds - Eau de Parfum has around 15-20% and lasts way longer, while Eau de Toilette only has 5-10% and feels fresher instead. What's "better" really just depends on whether you want to smell something all day or just have that light freshness in the morning. Eau de Parfum costs more too, so if you care about longevity and your budget allows it, I'd go for that. Otherwise Eau de Toilette is totally sufficient and you can spray it on more often without it becoming too much.
