It's a coincidence, and a perfectly natural one. There are 365 days in a year and 12 zodiac signs - that works out to roughly a month for each one. So statistically, events are bound to happen during your sign's days simply because it's a large span of time. When you start noticing this, your brain catches on and forgets about all the moments when nothing interesting happened.
This is called confirmation bias. You notice the coincidences and remember them, while you skip over the other days. If events were actually arranged according to zodiac signs, then stress, illness, and bad luck would all follow the same schedule - but that's not how life works. Events are distributed randomly regardless of the calendar.
The main thing is not to base your decisions on this. If you want to understand patterns in your life, it's better to pay attention to real causes: what you were doing before the event, what the circumstances were, what time of year your line of work falls into. That'll give you much more benefit than reading the stars.
The problem is that you notice events specifically on the days of your zodiac sign, and then you forget about them the rest of the time. This is called selective attention - your brain picks out information that seems meaningful to it. If you kept a diary and marked down everything that happens every single day of the year, you'd see that interesting stuff happens roughly equally throughout.
Plus there's also the confirmation bias effect at work: when something neutral happens (a friend calls, you go to the store), on your sign's days you interpret it as a significant event. But on other days you skip right past it. And that's how you get the feeling that fate is just especially active during your period.
Here's a practical trick: take a regular calendar on your phone and jot down any events every day - good, bad, neutral. After about three months, check the stats broken down by date. Honestly, almost everyone ends up with pretty much the same distribution, and suddenly those coincidences don't seem so mysterious.
