Yeah, golden retrievers shed like crazy in late summer and early fall - it's totally normal as they're blowing out their undercoat before the seasons change. Brushing every couple days is good, but you might want to try a de-shedding tool or undercoat rake, which pulls out way more loose fur than a regular brush and makes a real difference. Diet and skin health can definitely affect shedding, so if she's itching excessively or the skin looks inflamed, that's worth mentioning to a vet, but if she seems fine otherwise and this just started recently, it's almost certainly just seasonal.
