We're getting married in September and my boyfriend absolutely wants to rent a white limousine with champagne and all that stuff. I think it's tacky and expensive for nothing. So I'm torn - is it really necessary or can we just go with a regular car with some decorations?
It's really not essential, a limousine is just for the aesthetic effect on photo day 😊 A normal car that's nicely decorated with ribbons, flowers, or even just clean and well-maintained looks just as good and won't drain your wallet nearly as much. The thing is, you're only going to be in it for like half an hour max between the town hall/church and the reception, so honestly you might as well save that money for something you're actually going to enjoy afterwards, yeah?
At the end of the day, what matters is that you're both comfortable - if you think it's tacky, honestly a nice classic car with a few personal touches (flowers, ribbons) will do just as well. The real thing is that you two enjoy the moment, not that you're riding in something that makes you uncomfortable just because you're "supposed" to.
