Is it still worth buying a snowboard or better to rent one?
I'm a beginner and I'm wondering whether I should get my own snowboard or if I should rent a few more times first. The good Lib Tech boards are pretty expensive.

As a beginner I'd just rent first 🏂 You don't even know yet if snowboarding's gonna be fun for you long-term or what style suits you. After renting like 5-10 times you'll have way better feel for whether it's worth spending real money on. Lib Tech boards are awesome, but for the beginning that's totally overkill - the cheap rental boards do their job perfectly fine, and then you'll also see if you're actually gonna ride regularly or not 😊
As a beginner I'd recommend renting first before you spend several hundred euros on a Lib Tech. You'll quickly figure out while riding what suits you and what doesn't - whether you prefer a softer or stiffer board, what size fits - and that can still change. Once you've been out a few weeks and realize you want to ride regularly and know what you need, then it's worth investing in a good board. And honestly, some beginners find out it's just not their thing, so it'd be a shame to waste the money.
