It really depends on what you're looking for and how much you can actually spend. If the pricier supermarket has solid certifications and products you can't find elsewhere, then maybe it's worth it. But often that sky-high price is just marketing - check the labels because even budget organic lines have good options, and the actual quality difference isn't always worth what you're paying. Personally, I just figure out which things I actually need organic and where it's really worth buying them.
The question lumps everything together, but really it depends on what you're buying! Not all organic stuff costs twice as much, and not all organic products at the fancy supermarket are worth the money. At my place, for example, I buy organic vegetables from a greengrocer that's cheaper than the fancy supermarket, because he supplies customers directly without the middleman. But for packaged stuff like pasta, flour, cereals - that's a different story.
If the organic product at the expensive supermarket has solid certifications and it's something you've been looking for anyway, sometimes it makes sense to just buy it there instead of running around three different shops. The problem is when the price is high just because it says "organic" on the package but the certification is vague or the product is basically the same as the regular one. Try reading the labels carefully and comparing with discount stores or other chains - you might find the same brand at a reasonable price somewhere else. Especially for stuff you buy often, it's worth shopping around!
I personally only look at the things I use most often - for fruit and vegetables I eat right away it's worth it, but for the rest I do the math and often find that the organic stuff at the discount store has the same certification. The super high price at the fancy supermarket is really just marketing in most cases.
