I've tested free VPNs and honestly I don't recommend them, especially if you actually want real privacy. The free ones make money by selling your data to third parties or bombarding you with ads, so they end up not protecting anything. A decent paid VPN costs like 5-10 reais a month if you catch an annual promo, which is pretty cheap considering you're literally paying for your connection to be secure and anonymous.

When I started tinkering with routers and equipment at home, I realized firsthand that free VPNs let your data pass through servers you don't control, and many of them sell your information even though they say they don't. I paid like 30-40 reais a month for a decent VPN and the difference is insane - better speed, no annoying lag, and you're not paranoid about where your traffic is going. If you actually want privacy, it's totally worth paying because for free you end up being the product anyway.
